Dental Checkups & Teeth Cleanings for Kids

Child smiling during dental checkup and teeth cleaning for kids

Children of all ages need regular checkups and cleanings. These routine visits can be especially important while your little one is still getting the hang of brushing and flossing on their own. We’ll take the time to teach them more about good oral hygiene and do all we can to help them enjoy their visit. And of course, we’ll let you know right away if we notice any issues that might get in the way of your child’s smile growing up healthy and strong.

Dental Sealants

The back teeth play an important role in chewing food, which is why they have so many ridges and grooves. However, these spaces can easily trap food particles, acids, and plaque, putting these teeth at an increased risk for cavities. Since children are likely to have a particularly hard time reaching the back teeth while brushing, we recommend protecting their molars with special dental sealants. Sealants can be placed in a few minutes, but the protection they offer lasts for years.

Pulp Therapy

Child in pain before pulp therapy

Even if the outside of the tooth looks perfectly fine, the inner pulp could still be damaged. If your child complains about constant tooth pain that doesn’t seem to have an explanation, or if you notice swelling around certain teeth, there’s a good chance that your child is suffering from a pulp infection or injury. Get in touch with us as soon as possible so that we can remove the damaged nerves before the tooth is completely compromised.

Athletic Mouthguards

When you’re cheering your child from the sidelines at the big game, you don’t want to have to worry about having to rush them to an emergency dental appointment due to an accident. The mouthguards we offer aren’t like the ones you get off the rack at the store; they’re all uniquely made based on impressions of each patient’s unique mouth. This ensures a snug, secure fit that offers the best possible protection against blows to the mouth, head, or jaw.
